Dance ARC is a friendly, inclusive dance school in Watford, run by IDTA-qualified teacher Ms Amie. We offer dance classes for children from toddlers through to teenagers, with a focus on confidence, creativity, belonging and, most importantly, having fun.
I’m the owner and teacher behind Dance ARC, and I’ve been teaching dance for over 20 years.
I opened Dance ARC in 2015 because I wanted to create a dance school where children could enjoy dancing, build confidence and feel completely comfortable being themselves.
For me, dance has never been about being the best in the room. It’s about giving children the opportunity to try something new, discover what they can do and feel proud of their own progress. That’s why Dance ARC is non-competitive and why creating a friendly, supportive environment is so important to me.
I’m IDTA qualified and teach children from their very first steps in dance through to their teenage years. I love seeing dancers grow in confidence over the years — not just as dancers, but as young people too.
Whether your child is a little one coming to their first ever dance class, or an older dancer who has been dancing for years, I want them to feel that Dance ARC is a place where they belong.

At Dance ARC, we love seeing our dancers perform, learn new skills and feel proud of how far they've come — but we don't compete against other dance schools.
Instead, we focus on personal progress, confidence and having fun.
Our dancers have lots of opportunities to perform, take part in shows, work towards IDTA exams and challenge themselves, but there's no pressure to be the best or to compare themselves to anyone else.
Every dancer has their own strengths, and we love celebrating those little moments when something finally clicks, a dancer finds their confidence or they realise just how much they've improved.
We want our dancers to leave class thinking, “That was fun — I can't wait until next week!” ?

Qualifications - IDTA Level 4 Teaching Diploma (International Dance Teachers Association), BA Hons Degree in Theatre Dance, Level 1 Gymnastics Coach (General) Licenced Chaperone, Child Protection, First Aid and Risk Assessor Certificates.
Specialises in; Preschool Dance, Ballet, Tap and Jazz.
John Caswell
Co-founder
John has over 30 years experience in West End Theatre working on shows such as Starlight Express, Cats, Sunset Boulevard, Oliver!, Jesus Christ Superstar, Show Boat, West Side Story, Les Miserable, Jailhouse Rock, Billy Elliot, Mary Poppins, Zorro the Musical, Singin' in the Rain, From Here to Eternity, The Bodyguard, Gypsy, Motown the Musical, Dreamgirls, The Mousetrap and A Christmas Carol.
John is a qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer and Level 4 Cancer Rehabilitation. He now works at Everyone Active Watford Central as their GP Referral Coordinator.
